If you painted along with me in class — this is the poppy we did together.
One red poppy and a seed pod on a long wobbly stem. Nothing precious about it — it’s just a shape to print out and paint straight over, so you can skip the drawing bit and get to the colour. I’ve tucked a bonus in there too: a whole field of poppies for when you fancy something bigger, plus my painted version of both so you can see where the colour goes.

Printing it
Print at 100% (choose “Actual Size”, not “Fit to page”) on watercolour paper if your printer will take it — 140lb / 300gsm cold press is lovely. On US Letter paper, “fit to page” works perfectly well. Keep your first washes light and watery, and save the dark seed centre until the very end.
