How to Print Junk Journal Stickers at Home
Quick answer: Print the PDF at 100% (“actual size”) onto sticker paper for peel-and-stick stickers, or onto regular or thick paper if you’d rather cut them out and glue them down. Either works beautifully on a home printer.
- Choose your paper. For real peel-and-stick stickers, print onto printable sticker paper (matte is loveliest for the vintage look). No sticker paper? Print onto regular paper or vintage-style cardstock and glue them down instead — just as pretty.
- Print at 100%. In your print settings, set scaling to Actual Size (not “Fit”) so the stickers stay the size they were designed.
- Let the ink dry for a minute or two, especially on sticker paper, so nothing smudges while you cut.
- Cut them out. Snip around each cut outline with small scissors, or use decorative edge scissors for a fancy border. Fussy-cutting the flowers is oddly relaxing, I promise.
The Supplies That Make Printable Stickers Easy
Quick answer: You really only need a printer, some paper and a pair of scissors. But a few little extras make cutting and sticking quicker — and a lot more fun.
If you want proper peel-and-stick stickers, dedicated sticker paper is the place to start; if you’d rather print and glue, a pack of vintage-style cardstock gives the stickers a lovely bit of weight. For clean cuts on the little shapes, small sharp scissors are your friend, and a set of decorative edge scissors gives tags and banners that lovely scalloped or deckled edge. If you print onto plain paper, a refillable Tombow Mono adhesive runner sticks everything down without any wrinkling or mess.
To layer your new stickers with more ephemera, a set of vintage washi tape plays beautifully alongside the printable washi strips. And if you’re doing this a lot, a Fiskars paper trimmer makes quick, straight work of trimming whole sheets before you fussy-cut the details.

- Layer over washi. Run a printable washi strip along an edge, then pop a few flower stickers on top for depth.
- Label your pockets and tags. Use the little tabs and tags to mark sections, envelopes and tuck-spots.
- Build a whole vintage collage. Mix the ephemera stickers — keys, seals, stamps — with old book pages for that treasure-hunt feel.
